Anne Van Wagener is an accomplished visual journalist with more than 18 years experience integrating content and design for the web and printed media. In January 2009 she joined msnbc.com as the studio design manager overseeing the editorial design team. She spent nearly 10 years at The Poynter Institute for Media Studies as design editor and six years at The Tennessean Newspaper as design/graphics editor. She holds an MFA degree in graphic design from the prestigious Designer As Author program at School of Visual Arts in New York. In 2008, she received the Sappi Ideas That Matter grant to produce a complete branding and marketing campaign for Leaving Tracks, a nonprofit greyhound welfare organization. She has a six year-old greyhound named Blue.
